BIO

Uliana Klimchuk is an actor, singer and playwright from Kyiv, Ukraine, and a rising fourth year at University of North Carolina School of the Arts’s BFA Acting program.

As a member of Young Playwrights Ukraine, she was mentored by Daniel Goldfarb, Peter Hedges and Theresa Rebeck. Her play, Superhero, was first produced on Zoom as part of YPU’s Ten-Minute Play Project, starring David Harbour and Maddie Corman and directed by Paul McCrane. It was presented at the Vineyard Theatre with Kelly AuCoin and Jessica Hecht. Superhero is included in This is Not a Dream, published by Smith & Kraus.

Her plays have also been produced or presented at the Segal Center Theatre, Lex-Ham Theater in Minneapolis, UNCSA, Orion Theatre in Stockholm, and Jaffe Theater in Tel-Aviv.

Uliana acted alongside Liev Schreiber in Quality Time, directed by Peter Hedges and written by Taya Fedorenko for YPU’s Ten-Minute Play Project. She also appeared at the Vineyard Theatre in This is Not A Dream, in the play Ruins, by Sasha Sereda and her own play Superhero with actor Jessica Hecht.
